What is Neurofeedback?

The brainwave biofeedback technique is a technique commonly used in neurofeedback training. During routine exercise, several electrodes are placed on the scalp, and at least one electrode is placed on each earlobe. As a result of cutting-edge electrical equipment, you are provided with immediate, real-time visual and audible feedback regarding your brainwave activity. In the same way that a doctor listens to the rhythms of your heart from the surface of your skin, the electrodes monitor the electrical patterns arising from your brain and track them out. This allows the brainwave data to be analyzed and provides feedback on the different states of activity in the brain. Which helps to identify any abnormalities or issues in the brainwaves that may indicate a need for further evaluation.

Researchers found in the late 1960s and 1970s that it was possible to recondition, retrain, or learn various brainwave patterns. This instruction is referred to as EEG (electroencephalogram) biofeedback or neurofeedback.  In the 1990s, brain research advanced the discipline of neurofeedback.
