If you are experiencing difficulties relating to trauma, grief, addiction, anxiety, or major life changes, then you are not alone. Often, it is necessary for us to seek help from a qualified professional in order to cope with these challenges. The struggle of everyday life can be overwhelming and even exhausting, as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor I’m here to help you navigate through any obstacles you may encounter along the way.

 

My practice is focused on providing a non-judgmental and compassionate environment in which my clients can feel comfortable and accepted. I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and grow and I am here to support them in that journey.

In addition to being the wife of a retired soldier and a mother of three, I’m also a veteran. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2020 and experienced in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Neurofeedback as well. As an experienced trauma-informed counselor I have experience dealing with trauma, including childhood trauma, deployment trauma, and substance abuse disorders. I also have experience dealing with co-occurring problems such as depression, anxiety, and other life challenges. I’m passionate about helping adults develop or reinforce crucial coping skills.

I believe in the power of prayer and will incorporate faith-based prayer into the counseling process if desired. I also recognize the importance of confidentiality and strive to create a safe space for open and honest communication. I look forward to working with you on your journey to healing.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol, and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life.
